People who suffer from septic arthritis symptoms claim that it is the worst kind of pain there is. Everyday, millions of people are living and coping with the pain of Arthritis. Although new studies are conducted everyday, researchers do not have any answers as to what causes this debilitating disease. Even though arthritis itself is not fatal, there is a form of Arthritis that can be potentially life threatening.

  • Tissue fluid leaking into the joints, this area can be warm to the touch if the infection has progressed.
  • Vomiting in children and young adults.
  • Pain if the affect area is even lightly touched.

For those who suffer from Septic Arthritis symptoms are considered to be having a medical emergency. It can be life threatening if it is not treated immediately. This disease can send the victim into septic shock causing damage to bones, cartilage and to the heart.

Septic Arthritis is an indiscriminate disease and can strike anyone of any age at anytime. It is caused by bacteria in the bloodstream that travel to joints in the body. This can happen in several different ways, most often after a person has surgery, or is receiving injections such as cortisone treatments.

Some studies have indicated that women and homosexual men are more prone to developing Septic Arthritis however the reasons why have not yet been determined.
