Vaginal Dryness Symptoms
Vaginal dryness symptoms can affect women of all ages, though most often
occurs during and after the menopausal transition. Vaginal dryness is usually
caused by a lack of the hormone estrogen. Soybeans plant-based substances called
isoflavones have been said to weakly mimic the action of estrogen. A diet rich
in soy foods would therefore be expected to improve symptoms of vaginal dryness.
Research studies on isoflavones are ongoing, but so far the ideal sources or
dose is still unknown.
